This all resonated so much for me. Also even as a medium who sometimes gets asked to do psychic readings, I largely share you sentiments, though I think they can be a way to show you that your life and spiritual needs are seen from some bigger source and there can be a lot of reassurance in that. But with so many things in life it really is a matter of dose and with this work a little — like the title of a book that ends up resonating plucked out of the cosmic ether — often goes a long way.

Ohhh I love that perspective, Ivy. That’s also interesting re: Medium work vs Psychic…. Curious if you do both or stay solely (for now) in the Mediumship lane?

I definitely focus far more on mediumship since there are fewer mediums out there and it deals more with evidential facts and messages that can be verified and that can give a very uplifting and healing experience in grief or for people who have existential anxiety, but I can also do what I call evidential psychic work for people who ask for it, where it’s less about making tons of predictions and more about looking at where someone is at spiritually and what comes up around places they are stuck or dynamics they are struggling with and the I can illuminate hopeful probabilities and paths forward. It should still feel evidential with names etc and like your life is seen through details I shouldn’t know through ordinary means even with a psychic reading.

I think all of it sort of falls under the umbrella of grief care whether it’s the grief of loss, or the complicated grief of your own life not being quite what you expected or hoped it would be on the timeline you hoped it would happen.

Wow wow, this is fascinating and such a beautiful way to describe your particular merger of gifts, interests, talents in this space, and (com)passions. That’s a very precious niche to offer support in. ❤️ You are so special, Ivy. 🥹

Oh thank you!! Going forward, I'm working on writing shorter entries that are published with more frequency so hopefully they'll be more easily digestible than this longer length style of entries -- but I needed to go through these past two years and look back on them before I really felt like I could organize my thoughts around them. Ever have moments like that?
